Problem: You need to get on the Internet — but how to go about it?

• There are only a few people who can create a great looking website and do the "back end" techie stuff that makes your site really work for you.
• There are only a few people who know how to make a lean, fast-loading website.
• There are only a few people who understand the legal ins and outs of copy, and most of them are lawyers!
• There are only a few people who really know how to market your website to the search engines.
• You can have the most beautiful website in the world, but if nobody comes to see it, if key features don't work, if no one knows it's there, what's the point?

It's an unfortunate fact that a lot of people call themselves web designers these days. But even the fact that your secretary's cousin's son's ex-wife was able to use MS FrontPage to make a website for her nephews's soccer team doesn't make her the right web designer or technician to do your business website.

The point is, you should consider hiring a professional. It really doesn't cost much more. If that amateurish site is paid for but doesn't work, and you have to pay again to get it redesigned, a professional will work out to be cheaper overall. Experience and professionalism count.
